Abstract

In this article, general development exercises are considered as the main tool for the physical
development of younger schoolchildren. Special attention is paid to improving the quality of physical
education through structural and methodological changes in the programs of general developmental
exercises.
General developmental exercises occupy an important place in the system of physical training and
play a crucial role in the proper growth, development and formation of a child's health.
These exercises are characterized as an effective means of strengthening the body and increasing the
physical fitness of younger schoolchildren. The system of physical education in primary schools is
considered as an integrated system, including educational goals, objectives, methods, means and
organizational forms aimed at comprehensive physical development and health promotion.
Based on the established classification of general developmental exercises, a structural set of
exercises has been developed. The study also examines the recommended norms and load parameters
for performing a set of exercises
